Getting a window a/c years ago prepared me for becoming an HVAC technician

Sometimes I have flashbacks when I look in the mirror; I marvel at how far I have come in my life and it’s amazing that I’m a certified and bonafide HVAC professional, as this is something that I constantly wanted to be ever since I was a youngster! Ever since the moment I first got my initial window a/c component in my home office which was something that wasn’t easy.

• I had to beg my parents for years before they gave into allowing myself and others to have a window a/c unit.

I was responsible though and constantly made sure the temperature control settings were acceptable and I was not wasting electricity… Then nowadays, I get up early in the day to go out there and work on people’s HVAC systems. I have inspected all types of HVAC equipment and it’s something that isn’t overly challenging for me. I have been doing this a long time though, then when I first started with HVAC work, it was difficult for myself and others to learn everything in such a short phase of time. It’s also one thing to study this information from books, but to do the hands on work is so much more challenging. I had an easily great trainer luckily and I gained all sorts of tips for the trade. I have experienced a few moments where I didn’t definitely think about what I was doing, but I was able to find my way. Fortunately, I have worked with more great people than bad, so I constantly felt great about doing this sort of work.
