Can’t turn off HVAC or the dog freaks out about outdoor noises

If the windows are open, my dog is barking at someone.

When it comes to being a good pet owner things aren’t always that simple. It’s not good enough just to give them food and water and expect the best. In fact, animals require a lot of engagement and entertainment from you in order to live a happy and fulfilling life. I do everything I can to keep my dog upbeat and healthy, but there are times that I seriously consider throwing him in the backyard and leaving him there. This is especially the case when I start thinking about all the damage being done to my central heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment. You see me, my dog is a bit high-strung. He really prefers that I have the indoor air quality control equipment operating at all times. Part of this is because he is so sensitive to fluctuating air temperatures, including swelteringly hot weather or ice cold air. However, the other important aspect to consider is his sensitivity to outdoor noises. This dog hates natural ventilation because it requires the windows to be open. If the windows are open, my dog is barking at someone. This means, I have to have the central heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment running at all times if I want a peaceful house. Not only does the indoor air quality control system keep some extraneous outdoor noise away from his sensitive ears, but the central HVAC system also contributes extra background sounds. I think the noise emitted from my air conditioning unit and forced air furnace effectively block out some of the unwanted noise pollution. At the same time, at least I suppose he’s keeping our respiratory health on the up-and-up by keeping the outdoor air pollution at bay.
