A Safe Just Won’t Cut it

I was raised by my goofy Uncle Pedro, who did not trust the establishment.

He didn’t trust politicians, or cops, or lawyers, or even his doctor! He was convinced all the people was out to destroy him, but thankfully not to a degree of certifiable insanity.

Did he trust banks? You better believe there was no way he would trust banks. If he had money, or wanted to save money, he went one step above the mattress — with an antique wrought iron safe in his basement. The safe was too heavy to carry off, too thick to open, so it was the only location he knew his money was safe. Maybe Pedro was correct, because a cybersecurity breach at my bank just wiped out all of my funds. I am aware that this is only temporary and my funds will be issued to me again or compensated, due to the network security agreement my bank gave to us. To supply their customers peace of mind, the bank wrote and told us of the cybersecurity measures being put into place right away, so we would think they were entirely working around the clock to protect what we hold important and value. In the event there is a data security breach and data or money is stolen, the bank will have to pay up. I’m no expert in server security, but i don’t need to have that expertise as long as they stand behind their promise to protect my money, however uncle Pedro would call me an idiot or just plain stupid for trusting a bank in any event, and I think he wouldn’t trust cybersecurity from anyone, but then again he was a bit goofy and eventually forgot the combination to the safe.
