A good time memory
I can remember back when I was a teenager I used to go to the roller rink and skate.
I enjoyed doing it! Roller skating was a large trend back in the late 1969’s through the mid 1971’s when I was growing up, and I was there all the time! One thing that was totally relaxing about the roller rink I went to was that in the Winter that had that venue all nice and moderate with the best central heating someplace could have at that time.
This was in an era where central heating and A/C was something you only found in commercial buildings and businesses, however most homes could not afford to have central heating and A/C. So that was what made this central heating in the roller rink really special. At that time, there wasn’t any commercial corporation or building that I was in which had central heating as relaxing as this. It wasn’t overly stuffy and it wasn’t too cold. You didn’t even think you were in any kind of heating and it felt just like room temperature on a nice fall or Spring morning. The central gas furnace was just that great! Of course I had other fond memories of that roller rink other than something as stupid sounding as central heating, however those memories are private and personal if you catch my drift! It’s where I met my first ever bestie. I’ll leave it at that. But that central gas furnace comes right under that in fond memories think it or not.
