My job was one of the first to send us home when the virus first struck.

• At first, I was pretty unhappy, our job seemed like the kind that wasn’t going to send us home, so this was an unwelcome surprise.

While I’m sure most people are quite excited to work from home, I was dreading it. Why? For a couple reasons, one, I am quite popular at my job, and have friends that I love to work with. Two was because I know I have horrible discipline and have difficulty getting up in the morning to do my job. If I know that my office is just a few feet away, I know that will encourage me to just stay in bed. However after working for a couple of weeks, I noticed one really big pro of working at home. I get to choose my model of air conditioning. At work, I am situated right next to a window air conditioner. However, unless you were directly looking at it, you probably wouldn’t even know it’s there, because it’s cooling air output is awful, to say the least. I feel really bad for my coworkers since the window air conditioning is the only one in the entire building, and I’m the only one close to it. With my own home office, I was able to go and buy my own mini split ductless A/C for my office. With the ductless HVAC, I stayed cool all morning and afternoon. Then when I was done, I simply just shut off the mini split A/C unit and walked into my kitchen to prepare dinner. Maybe working from home isn’t going to be as bad as I thought.

Previously, I found myself turning my furnace heating system into a full on a/c system.

Among many other great HVAC creations I created one of the most intense and fantastic machines with my new HVAC technology. I created the first HVAC time machine. But, where could an ex- a/c repairman go and be accepted with such skill. Thoughts like “I could go back in time and become the 1st a/c rep ever” or “ imagine how many heating systems and a/c’s I could build before HVAC is even created!?” However, I needed to shake myself “I can’t introduce these new HVAC technologies to the past let alone the future!” This did not solve my problem. I remembered while I was working as an a/c repair man, reading a tite in a customer’s house saying “The protestant Reformation.” Soon my curiosity pushed me to turn my wireless dial attached to my furnace to 1516. I arrived in the middle of the Protetant Reformation and lloyd around, there were no air conditioners, no air purifiers, and almost no furnaces. The furnace that did exist was more like a fire pit than a furnace. I decided to introduce a hot water boiler to the leakers in government, and they were absolutely obsessed. I was taken to an old laboratory where scientists were studying base level things like plants. I explained to them what my idea of HVAC was and they got on board. Mom was leaving for the month, and I had to myself.

After starting a small business, she’d advised me to move back home and save money on rent.

She was all alone after my dad passed away, so I decided to do so. My work wasn’t far away from home to ride my bike in spring and summer. That month, my mum went to see my brother and his wife. They had a newborn baby and needed some help since my brother was busy at work. I had the house to myself, so I decided to invite my girlfriends for a sleepover. That evening, they arrived early, and we got to work preparing for dinner. They all had socks in the house but commented about the excellent heating system. I informed them my dad had paid for radiant floor installation a long time ago. At the time, it seemed like an expensive undertaking, but it paid off. It had been a long time coming, but Nancy was happy to be moving out. Living with three other roommates was fun at first, but she longed for her place. They’d been living together since college after opting to live outside the campus. Her parents were supportive of the move and saw it as a chance to learn some responsibility. She’d gotten a part-time job to help cover some of the bills. After graduating, they opted to keep living together until they landed jobs and were financially able. After three years of living in a rental apartment downtown, Jacob bought his dream home.

He’d been saving for quite some time and had opted not to compromise on the location. He’d been searching in a small neighborhood ten minutes from the city. It was quiet, had less traffic, and a perfect place for a family. His girlfriend was pregnant, and he wanted the home to be ready for the baby. Once they moved in, he decided to search for a better heating unit. The air conditioner in the house was of good quality, but the area was cold. So, Jacob needed a better heating system to keep the house warm for the many winter months ahead. His girlfriend had experience with HVAC systems, so she suggested he think about a gas boiler unit. The gas boiler was a cost-effective way to keep the house warm during the harsh winters. Not to mention it was energy efficient and would cost less to use each month. Electric ones were a bit expensive for such a big house. Apart from that, the central heating system wouldn’t take up too much space in the place. Unlike other boiler units that needed ample storage space, the gas boiler would use the existing gas line delivering natural gas to the house. All they needed was for an AC technician to come and do the installation once Jacob ordered it. The other advantage of the gas boiler was it was an eco-friendly option. Natural gas had a less negative effect on the environment compared to oil gas boilers. Jacob saw sense in it and got in touch with the HVAC vendor. Winter vacation up in the mountains meant lots of skiing. Since I was on a break from work, I decided to visit my friend who had a lovely mountainside home. It was in the perfect location and next to a skiing lodge. He had begged me to visit for a while, but I never had time. Finally, it was time to fulfill my promise, so I left for the trip. He picked me up from the airport, and we got to his wonderful log cabin. The whole area was from a postcard, and the house had an excellent heating pump. It was warmer than I had expected and looked amazing. He informed me he had an air conditioner before, but it kept needing constant repairs. The area required more heating than cooling, so he’d opted to buy a quality heat pump. It made sure the entire space was warm such that we didn’t need to wear sweaters or coats inside. The heating and cooling system was intriguing, so we spent that first evening talking more about it. He had contacted an AC expert asking for the best heating system for a log cabin. Once my boss heard about it, he knew the business would be booming. So, we began making necessary preparations to cater to the vast number of attendees. By that time, the coffee shop was already buzzing with customers. We had to apologize for the lack of AC and inform them of the ongoing HVAC repairs.
