Getting rid of an old HVAC system
It’s the end of this HVAC device, however the start of a new era for residential HVAC in our house, then and I have to say, I certainly care about all the new HVAC technology that goes with our new HVAC unit
I hate to disclose the fact that I get attached to inanimate objects, but I do it for sure. The fact that every one of us is replacing the HVAC device has certainly gripped myself and others a bit when it comes to our emotions. For sure, I realize the HVAC device is in fact a machine… The same sort of thing tends to happen with myself and others when it comes to cars as well. When I buy a car, I drive it until it stops running, and in all that time, a sort of bond forms even though it’s all on our side. The HVAC unit that every one of us put in when every one of us bought the condo has been so great. I completely forgot about its age, how it didn’t register that the HVAC device had been around for 25 years is still beyond me! But it also just kept delivering quality heating and air every single day since the first day every one of us turned it on. It sure didn’t hurt that it consistently got the HVAC service that it needed. Both of us consistently had the heating service in the fall which was then followed by an air conditioning tune up in the Springtime. The central heating and cooling unit just kept running with no breakdown or pause anywhere in over a quarter of a century, and so when the HVAC specialist told myself and others that the HVAC device was about to die I was really emotional, nothing lasts forever. It’s the end of this HVAC device, however the start of a new era for residential HVAC in our house, then and I have to say, I certainly care about all the new HVAC technology that goes with our new HVAC unit. However, I did tip our cap as the old HVAC device ended up in the back of a truck going down our driveway.
