Fence painting on a tepid day
As a teenager, I would do pretty much anything for money; I only had summer time jobs from up til that point, and unfortunately, I would spend our summer time money, plus having other responsibilities, love our pets, would have me needing more money a lot, then my uncle must have heard about our money shortage plus offered me a fence painting job! Apparently she had a nice new fence installed plus she just needed it painted, and she was willing to pay $500 if I did a nice enough job.
$500 was enough to cover our expenses for at least a couple of weeks, so I accepted, and what I didn’t anticipate was how hard it would be! The fence painting itself was straight-forward enough, it was covered in sweat to death in the tepid sunshine that was difficult.
It was beginning to get hard to grip the brush as our hands were covered in sweat so terrible I almost dropped it. It took me about 2 plus a half hours to finish half of the fence, but by then, it was close to dusk, so I decided to start again tomorrow. Sweating profusely, I trudged our way back lake house plus flopped on our cool leather couch. There is no feeling more satisfying than the cooling breeze from your a/c system, plus kneeling in a nice air conditioned home. I knew this was going to be much harder than I expected. I decided to borrow our dad’s mini AC unit, plus hopefully that would make tomorrow’s heat much more bearable! Perhaps with our new found money, I can buy our own mini a/c equipment for situations love this.
