The office is too warm to work

I have been an accountant for a decade.

  • I graduated from college with my MBA.

I found a position working for a bill collection company. The job and the pay was decent, but the benefits were non-existent. When I got pregnant with my first kid, I switched jobs. I needed something with health insurance for me and the baby. I looked for two months before I got called for an interview with my current job. I had to sit through two different interviews, but I got the job. I had to take a slight decrease in pay, but they gave me medical, dental, and vision benefits. I also got two weeks of paid vacation, maternity leave, and my own cubicle. I have tons of pictures of my kids all over the walls. I have been very happy here until just recently. I have great bosses and coworkers, but the indoor air quality is awful. When the sun shines through the windows, you can see a ton of dust bunnies in the air. Sometimes the air conditioner works, and other times we have problems. A lot of my co-workers have complained about the indoor air conditions, but none of the bosses are paying attention to our complaints. If they don’t get someone in here soon to fix the problem, a lot of people are going to get sick. There’s a ton of dirt and dust in the air and we are breathing that into our lungs every day. I know that can’t be great for our overall physical health.
