Happy Monday to you all! I know Monday’s aren’t so happy for a lot of people, but for me it is a really good day because I am going to treat myself to a new djembe drum for $130. I’ve been delaying the purchase because of money issues, but I think I am ready to buy my third drum and sixth musical instrument for my flat. I just bought a harmonica from the store and now I want to buy this smaller djembe so that we can play outside without bothering people with the big loud djembe I have now. Zoned HVAC service is the work for today and then I am going to take my happy self down to the local business and get that little djembe. I gave my other little one away not too long ago when I should have kept it and saved myself $130. I think my bandmate bought one from this local contractor but I think it may also be too big for playing in the streets without causing a commotion. I will message him first to see if he still has the drum and maybe see if it is something that would work for us when we play. Today I am going to do some HVAC maintenance on my unit in my flat because summer is coming and I want to make sure the A/C is ready to go in the next few weeks when it starts to get really hot here. I think the real heat will be here in a month at the most.

It’s full on Spring now and that’s something that I’m ready to acknow-how.

I feel most folks are blissful that the gas furnace is off for a while and there is warmer weather.

I’m not feeling that sentiment so much because the perfect weather for me, is winter time weather. That said, I don’t deal with any sort of snow, ice or depths of cold. No, it’s so beautiful here during the winter time that we don’t need much help from the heat pump when it comes to heating the house. So when we hit about mid April, that’s sort of the time where the air conditioner can pop on here and there. I don’t necessarily leave the cooling on during the Spring. It’s just too early for that in my mind, then leaving the doors and windows open this time of year can actually be pleasant as there is constantly a nice breeze. But once the peak heating hours reach a temperature about 85 degrees or so, I reach for the temperature control. And it may only be a few hours of air conditioner with the heat pump popping on and off. Of course, I’ve already had the air conditioner tune up done by the Heating and A/C professionals. That’s essential. But the Heating and A/C professional also installed a ductless heat pump inside the sunroom. I’m getting to the point where there are mornings I’m just not so into getting outside… Yet, I love, love, love the sunshine. With this new piece of residential Heating and A/C, I’ll be able to actually love the summer time months without having to brave all that heat and humidity. After all, even at this age, I still have to stick my face in the sun every morning if I can.

For sure, I’m now fully engaged with Spring. Once we get to mid April, I feel safe in getting completely gleeful that the winter time is indeed over. For sure, there are still some nights that the gas furnace is still kicking on to deliver some heating. But that gas furnace is pretty much quiet now during the morning and I love that. Not only because all those heating costs start coming down. But it’s also indicative that Spring is here and that’s just such a thrill to me; Even though I’ve lived here all my life, I’ve never been blissful when it comes to winter time weather. It was better when I was younger. The snow, ice and deep cold didn’t bother me as much then. Plus, I liked to get out of the heating of the condo to play hockey or go skiing as well. These mornings, I can’t be bothered and all I want is a cozy condo with a great gas furnace. My friend and I actually had the residential Heating and A/C upgraded a few years back. The central air conditioner in our apartment now has air conditioner as in a heat pump. This is new for us. But again, it was easier back in the morning to toss in a couple of window air conditioners. Not so much now. So having the heat pump deliver such awesome air conditioner is great. I cover the Heating and A/C device outside up with a tough plastic shell during the Winter. This keeps the weight of ice and snow off the delicate air conditioner components. Now that we’re fully into the Spring, it won’t be long now before I go out to remove that cover.

My mom was down here going to see us for Easter.

• She lives way up north and I like to fly her down here whenever I can.

She comes down for Christmas now that the adolescents are older, then my friend and I used to pack the adolescents up, flip the heating on in the car and make the trek up there, but now that the adolescents are older, they want to love their holiday chop with their friends as well. So mom gives up her pale white Christmas and flies down to the sun and a quiet heat pump in her son’s house, but when my mom came in mid week last week, the temperatures were a bit above average for us this time of year. But we are absolutely much the sort who don’t reach for the air conditioner right away, but instead, we actually like to actemperature to the heat and humidity during the Spring… This makes dealing with the drastic Summer heat a lot more manageable, then plus, we don’t have to depend on the level of cooling so numerous people around here rely upon. I mean, there are folks hitting the air conditioner in late February around here. But those are also the same people you never see outside all Summer long, not in our house. I just can’t imagine the cooling costs those folks fork over. Still, I could tell my mom was a bit sizzling so I ended up closing the windows and doors to get her some air conditioner. I don’t mind that at all as this will be just the first of numerous more times the air conditioner will be coming on during the peak heating hours of the morning.

It was so totally weird the way all of this worked out. When my pal and I got sent apartment from the zone controlled HVAC of the office, I thought for sure that my productivity would crater. That’s because I knew that I’d be sharing the central air conditioning system of the apartment with my kids in addition to my hubby. That’s not exactly conducive to a whole bunch of concentration. I live in a major metropolitan town in a 20-story apartment. And while by definition, the building is considered to be a high-rise structure, my building is nowhere close to the height of various of the other buildings in the city. Some buildings are over 50 stories high. In fact, the tallest building in the town is just under 100 stories up. Many of these buildings have been around for over 100 years & have only had minor updates since then, then for instance, my building doesn’t have A/C. The building was built before A/Cs became popular inside people’s homes. And as far as heat, it is provided using radiators that are connected to boilers in the buildings; Unfortunately, I don’t have a thermostat inside my apartment, which means the heat is controlled by the landlord or the building management, but when the temperature drops below a particular degree, the contractor management is required to adjust the thermostat on the boiler to provide heating throughout the building. While the heat is great, it can become quite uncomfortable. If you’ve ever used a radiator, you know that they can get quite hot because scorching hot water is being distributed through the pipes. I found some work that was interesting to me like my dad did when he found the heating, ventilation, and AC repair business

I graduated from my time in school and then my father wanted to hint around that I should join in the heating and also AC repair business. He was hoping that I would join him in the company and that the two of us could work together repairing and installing heating and AC equipment. My mom believed that I was a lot like him and also someday would find myself at the heating and also AC company. I really expected to see the heating and also AC worker come to the condo by 5:00 and then I realize there was a chance that I needed to buy some groceries before going back to the house for dinner.
