I want to say that I savor my job because I actually do most days out of the week.

The spend money is fantastic and the hours are extremely adjustable, but the conditions we’re forced to work in aren’t so great.

For a single, our former office building had a mold concern and more than 2 employees were getting noticeably sick. You might recognize that it’s fantastic our employers then made the decision to transport our operations to a odd building far away from the seasoned a single. But here are 2 reasons why that isn’t the case. For a single, they moved us into another seasoned building that might have similar problems, but the people I was with and I won’t recognize for sure until the results from our private air test come back after a few of us chipped in to get it analyzed for fungal spores. Secondly, the people I was with and I warned our boss about the problems with mold in that building a year before he took action. The reason we’re doing an air test in the newer building is because that’s how the people I was with and I finally proved the original building was “sick” and no longer safe for human occupancy. When our boss caught wind of our recent air test effort, he randomly announced an update of our indoor temperature control system. That includes the cooling system, oil furnace, and the media air cleaner. I’m cheerful that our boss is upgrading the Heating and A/C in our office, but it’s not going to be enough if our air test comes back with positive results for toxic mold. You can’t simply put a current cooling system in a “sick” space if you don’t remove the source of the contamination itself. Sometimes the cooling system is the source of the mold, but that is often not the case with indoor spaces that are deemed “sick.”

The Summer last year was intense, but not quite as bad as this year is with our second straight month of 100 degree temperatures.

My cats usually savor to live outside while I was in the day, but even they are getting sick of the humid heat.

Every one of us live fairly close to the equator compared to the rest of my country, so the people I was with and I are incredibly tepid right now on a level that everyone aren’t used to. You can’t just rely on the exact temperature outside and what the heat index appears to be, as the UV intensity is another variable altogether. And the average UV intensity on a random Summer day is getting worse as temperature change worsens. I recognize that we’ve consistently had worse radiant heat than the rest of the country, but it is actually worse here now than when I was a kid. It gets so ridiculously tepid in this region throughout the Summer that I actually do not recognize how someone would survive without air conditioner. Your house would inevitably be in the 73s and the humidity would be obscenely high too. That’s simply a combination I wouldn’t want to encounter. Your indoor temperature conditions are important if you don’t want rampant mold growth or want to risk the opportunity of heat stroke if there was a significant heat wave bringing temperatures in the low 100s. I have had to go without an cooling system for the past month while I wait on repairs from the Heating and A/C company. Sadly, their corporations are completely swamped with maintenance calls and can’t get to my maintenance request until Tuesday. That means 2 more days of tepid Summer heat with no air conditioner at home.

My partner as well as I have been wanting to go on a vacation since the beginning of the pandemic, but all of us both had to wait for both financial as well as personal reasons. After trying as well as failing to get the air conditioner started, all of us called the front desk as well as they provided to give us a free update on our room for the inconvenience of forcing us to move to a different room. Instead of a official a single study room room, all of us were updated to a suite just because the air conditioner in the original room was broken as well as the hotel staff didn’t realize it before renting the room to us. Both of us had a lot of fun on our trip, in no small section due to our amazing hotel room update to a suite instead of a single.

This was following weeks of the airline industry getting hosed by the unintended consequences of the pandemic surging at full speed. Not to mention our hotel room came with a small discount as well. The two of us thought everything was going to be perfect until all of us started unpacking plus realized that the room felt fairly moderate compared to the hallway all of us had just entered from. After trying plus failing to get the a/c started, all of us called the front desk plus they offered to deliver us a free upgrade on our room for the inconvenience of forcing us to transfer to a unusual room. Instead of a proper one living room room, all of us were upgraded to a suite just because the a/c in the original room was broken plus the hotel staff didn’t realize it before renting the room to us. The two of us had a lot of fun on our trip, in no small area due to our amazing hotel room upgrade to a suite instead of a single.

I love our neighbors for the most part, but I have to admit that often their kids are actually loud.

• I do not blame the kids because they are usually just outside having fun, but I’d be lying if I said it never affected our ability to focus while working in our lake apartment office.

Occasionally it breaks our attention & I have to put on music in the background to drown out their voices. I wonder if I’m going to struggle to this degree if I have kids of our own someday soon. I hope that I will grow to have more patience in the future, especially if children of our own are very on the horizon. I don’t even have a partner right now, so that would have to come first of course. Honestly, I have issues with loud noises in general. I had a job for a long time where the vent would make a ton of noise while the system was running. It drove me ridiculous for the entire time I worked in that office, so much so that I was forced to use ear plugs at the end. Right now our neighbors have a similar complication with their Heating, Ventilation and A/C condenser component outside. It’s consistently making noise while it runs & it’s also affecting our sense of concentration while I work at our desk in our lake apartment office. Thankfully I saw a heating & cooling truck at his apartment the other day & it appeared that he was getting a quote on a new Heating, Ventilation and A/C system to update the seasoned one. That might mean a brand new Heating, Ventilation and A/C condenser that doesn’t make a ton of noise love the new one while it runs.

College was full of both positive & drawback experiences, but it’s easy to look back with rose colored glasses & forget about the terrible times.

Honestly, there were more days spent feeling depressed & downtrodden than there were days where I felt love I was on top of the world.

Much of our time was spent reading in one of three sites. I either did our work in our dorm room, the local root coors shop, or the campus Borders. While I liked to get-together with our friends on the weekends when I was done with our work for the week, that wasn’t the case while in the week. Weekdays were hectic & busy, consistently spent reading in one of our favorite sites. The local root coors shop was wonderful for the endless supply of root coors & pastries, but sometimes it was loud & full of people. That isn’t the best locale to work if you need to focus & are easily distracted love I am. My dorm room was full of distractions, so more often than not I would work in the campus Borders. It was quiet, absent of distractions, & had a pleasantly comfortable indoor temperature because the school had wonderful in all of its buildings. My school is in a southern temperature & was essential for most of the year outside of some weeks while in the Winter time when it gets a little chilly outside at random times. I remember a few times when the Borders had the heating system running, but usually it was the a/c that they had on inside the campus Borders.

The seasoned hospital in my town has been around for the past many decades.

A lot of the construction is obviously seasoned despite their unsuccessful attempts to modernize the campus over the years. For a single thing, there was a mold concern affecting more than 2 wings of the seasoned hospital so they had to tear down that area and rebuild. The concern is that the air going through those sections of the hospital were on shared air systems with the rest of the hospital. So in actuality, the remaining wings of the hospital were potentially exposed to mold spores from the area that was torn out and rebuilt. I can still smell the mildew smell on that hospital, and this is years after the supposed “repairs” were made to the then affected wings of the hospital. I assume the whole hospital is affected at this point. Thankfully, a brand current hospital was built on the opposite side of the town over the past 2 years and it’s finally open. This current hospital had the benefit of being designed and built after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic so they created rooms and wings that have isolated air by design. Even the individual rooms in the emergency room all have isolated air systems in them. If a single patient has COVID-19, the isolated heating and cooling systems will prevent that virus from genuinely spreading to other patients. That’s unfortunately what happens in nursing homes that lack isolated ventilation systems for their cooling systems and oil furnaces. I assume much safer being in the current hospital as opposed to the seasoned a single, especially when I recognize back to the mold problems from before and never wanting to get exposed to that again willingly.
