No debate over who does the HVAC service or repair
My wife and I make decisions together about nearly everything that effects our lives.
Sure, there are plenty of things we take care of on our own but we still try to communicate when it comes to decisions that involve the family.
There are times where we actually debate each other a bit. It doesn’t turn contentious but we present our case and work through it. Recently, we had a bit of a debate about the HVAC equipment. I thought we were paying too much for our HVAC service plan. And I had been given a number of a handyman who had heating and cooling experience. This guy was cheaper by about half over the HVAC professional. It seemed like a bit of a no brainer to me. But my wife didn’t think so much of my idea. So we decided to talk it out and make a decision. I pointed out the costs of the HVAC service plan and that we could save a bunch of money. The idea of saving money is always appealing so I figured that might sway her to my way of thinking. Instead, my wife really brought the truth when it came to the HVAC situation. For one, she pointed out that we had been in the HVAC service plan since the HVAC equipment was installed. She also pointed to the fact that we had not encountered any sort of breakdown with the HVAC unit in that time. Then she showed me just how much training and continuing education an HVAC professional goes through to remain a certified HVAC professional. Finally, she pointed out that service and repair from an HVAC professional is guaranteed. She won.
