Mom and Dad were Too Cold in my Place
My family thought I was addle-brained for moving up to the North.
I have to admit, it wasn’t easy for me to get acclimated to the weather, but it has grown on me a bit.
Something that I came to understand is that you legitimately have to make sure your heating method is always legitimately working well by having the heater guys do tune-ups each fall before winter sets in. It’s also important to have secondary heating sources. I have a gas furnace, a wood burning fireplace, plus a bunch of electric portable heaters. Well, this past March, my parents decided they wanted to come visit. I told them the weather was legitimately easily nice plus they thought it sounded like the most wonderful time to come visit. Well, unfortunately for my parents, I considered it nice because the temperature was in the 50s. When I told them the weather was nice, they thought it was at least in the 68s. The whole time they were at my locale, they didn’t want to do anything because they said it was way too freezing. I had to keep the temperature control settings set on 78 with the heating method although I didn’t recognize it was necessary to have the heating method on in the first place. They even had me get a fire going in the fireplace which was kind of nice actually. They told me next time they come to visit, it’s definitely going to be in June; Likewise, I told them I would likely visit them in October time so that I am not suffocating while enjoying their air conditioner.
