He loves his job and there are a lot of perks. He gets huge discounts on any HVAC equipment we need. Since he is an HVAC technician, we also have all of our servicing and repairs done for free. I love that he likes his job so much. Last month our air conditioning unit broke. We knew we couldn’t pay for it outright, and we thought we should just be able to get a payment plan. My husband’s boss told him that he didn’t give payment plans to anyone. He didn’t extend credit to his own family. My husband was devastated. He had worked there for five years and his boss wouldn’t extend even six months credit for a new air conditioning unit. We sat down and started figuring out our finances and he was looking for a new HVAC company to work for. He said he couldn’t work for a company that didn’t trust him. When he went to work the next day, he was ready to give his two weeks notice. He was just getting ready to go to the office when he was told he was to go up to the office. The boss had summoned him. When he walked in, his boss shook his hand and told him to sit down. He said that normally he would give a man a bonus and a raise when he hit the five year mark. Instead of the bonus, he was getting a new air conditioning unit. He was also given a raise.
