Bad a/c at the hotel on the way home
A year or so ago, back in the days when people could go anywhere without fear, I took a little road trip with my border collie; and I just felt that getting away for a morning or various to keep from going stir crazy was a good idea.
Anyway, it was a lovely little trip except for 1 thing: the a/c in the hotel I stopped at on the way home was terrible.
After various days away, I headed for home, and I had a long drive ahead of me. I decided that if I got too sleepy, I would just extend the road trip for 1 more night and get a fantastic night’s sleep at a little hotel anywhere on the way home. But well, I am a big baby about driving, and that is exactly what happened. In addition, my car’s a/c system was not actually all that marvelous, so the heat made me a little sleepy, as well. I decided to stop about 3 hours from the cabin and get a hotel room for the night. I told the clerk that I was only looking for fantastic a/c and quiet for a fantastic night’s sleep. He promised I would have all those, so I rented the room. It was by no means a fancy hotel; it was just basic, but that was all I was looking for; but, the hotel employee let me down in one terrible way. About midnight, I began to feel quite hot, and I looked at the a/c system unit. It had tons of water beads busting out on it and the a/c system air was not at all cool. It felt akin to a real heater, in fact! I called the front desk to ask about the a/c system, and that’s when I found out that the guy who gave me my room key had given me a room that was known to have a/c system issues.
