A bookworm
I was & still am a bookworm however not in your average nerdy bookworm! No, rather than reading normal books I prefered to read manuals.
I liked to work with our hands & reading manuals with instruction on how to piece things together was aiding our knowledge to learn how to do things by myself, so when I found an old manual about heating & a/c units I wasted no time in reading it. It covered everything there was to assume about heating & cooling technology, but heater installations, installing your new a/c, a/c repair, media air cleaners, whole beach home heating systems, electric heaters, oil heating systems, Heating & Air Conditioning services & much more. I turned this love of reading into a USAble skill. I started to practice repairing oil gas furnaces & a/cs on our own time. It didn’t take myself and others long before I got fantastic with all things heating & cooling related & I even found a professor who took myself and others along to home calls & showed myself and others how to do the job 1 on 1… All this experience soon led myself and others to getting a highly sought after position at a large Heating & Air Conditioning company & it was 1 of the best things that could have ever happened to me. I began to make a lot of money, way more money than I was making before & that led to myself and others being able to supply things for our family that I couldn’t before, but life was great, I l gained a new skill & now had a secure job. It wasn’t long before I picked up another manual & began to read again.
